Brownsea Island (No Comments)

An island wildlife haven of woodland, wetland and heath. Brownsea Island is a beautiful setting for walks, picnics and exploring this sanctuary for red squirrels in the south.
The island was also the first ‘test’ camp for Robert Baden-Powell’s Scouts in 1907.

Facilities

National Trust Shop, Vilano Cafe selling hot and cold food as well as children’s lunch boxes, Baby-changing facilities, Pushchairs and baby back-carriers permitted, Baby buggies available to loan.

Clouds Hill (No Comments)

Clouds Hill was the country retreat of T E Lawrence. The small cottage was a haven for the ‘Lawrence of Arabia’ author.

Facilities

No WC, T E Lawrence books for sale, Picnic area. Dogs permitted on grounds with leads only.

Corfe Castle is over a thousand years old. Its ruins are situated above the isle of Purbeck with breathtaking views.
